Solar Creations was a vision of our CEO Mike Roberson in 1994.  Mike wanted to provide products to the public that would make everyday life more comfortable, productive, convenient and most of all, safe!  The first product he introduced to Eastern North Carolina was window film.  No, not the purple bubbly stuff you see on some cars.  LLUMAR and Vista window films are an excellent product to reduce heat gain from windows in your home and business, reduce the U.V. rays and give added protection in the event of inclement weather or vandalism. As time progressed, Mike then added automotive electronics to the line of products.  These products included remote keyless entry, remote car starters and cruise control.  All the things we have come to expect standard on our vehicles today. In late 1996 Mike married and bought a new house.  It was then he realized there was a whole other market of safety, convenience and communication items that Eastern North Carolinians were missing.  In 1997 Solar Creations jumped into the low voltage residential and commercial products and installation market. Believe it or not, Solar Creations added one more division to the business.  In 2006, after many years of providing quality service in the electronics business, Mike was asked by local law enforcement to supply emergency equipment, installation and repair to their fleet.  Of course, being the “tech guy” that he is, Mike was excited and honored to help the men and women that keep us all safe, to stay safe!!  He immediately start making contacts with the leading emergency equipment manufactures and within one week, he had not only established those relationships, but had completed one complete police car from scratch.  Today the company has built numerous emergency vehicles and services the existing fleets from the surrounding areas. Solar Creations, Inc. has now added a sister company, S.C.I. Technologies, and has grown from a vision in one mans mind to now operating out of two buildings totaling approximately 4000 square feet in Winterville, NC. 

S.C.I. Technologies handles all of the low voltage installation and equipment, while allowing Solar Creations to stay focused on what started the company, solar and security window film for the residential and commercial market.
